VETRECO: CUTTING-EDGE QUALITY
AND EXCELLENCE
Vetreco receives and recovers material from the separate collection of glass from around 700 municipalities in central and southern Italy with a population of over 9 million inhabitants.
With the recent change of authorisation, Vetreco is now able to handle 400,000 tonnes of glass waste per year.
Continuously expanding, Vetreco aims to be a reference point for glass collection and processing for Central Europe.
HOW OFTEN CAN GLASS BE RECYCLED??
Glass recycling is a highly environmentally friendly process:the original raw material can be processed and transformed without any loss of quality in the recycled material. For this reason, glass can be recycled an infinite number of times, 100 per cent, without any loss of material.

THE CYCLE OF GLASS
From a ‘Raw’ cullet, i.e. a waste product mainly coming from separate waste collection to a ‘Ready-to-Bake’ cullet, i.e. a Secondary Raw Material used by glasshouses to replace natural raw materials (natural sand, soda ash, etc.).
VETRECO’S COMMITMENT TO ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
VETRECO is also committed to the environment in the processing of glass into raw material. In fact, our factory complies with all European regulations to reduce the environmental impact of its production chain.
