Vetreco opened the doors of its Supino factory to the Rai 3 programme ‘Scala Mercalli’, hosted by Luca Mercalli. Roberto Cavallo explained to viewers how the glass cycle works, from scrap to Secondary Raw Material that will be used to generate new glass objects to be put back on the market. Vetreco is proud that its activity has aroused this kind of interest, not only because it allowed the public to see for themselves how the production chain is structured internally, but also because it enthusiastically welcomes all activities that aim to protect and safeguard the environment, such as the appeal to do separate waste collection well at home. The video shows the stages of scrap processing, including man’s control over the material selected by the machine, which will then become MPS and take on a new life.
